- Industry Veteran Brings 15 Years of Healthcare Experience to Growing North Texas Company -

DALLAS, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen D. Faro joins Dallas-based North American Spine as the company's new Chief Operating Officer. Faro has 15 years of healthcare experience, specializing in the development, growth and operations of surgical facilities.

In his new role, Faro will lead North American Spine's efforts to build relationships with physicians and open new surgical locations offering the revolutionary AccuraScope(TM) Discectomy and Neural Decompression (D.N.D.) procedure to patients with acute and chronic back pain. The surgery is currently being performed in North Texas and Ohio, and North American Spine has plans for national expansion.

"Stephen Faro's experience with developing specialized spine care and surgical facilities along with his physician relationships make him the ideal Chief Operating Officer for North American Spine," said Sam Bailey, Ph.D., President of North American Spine, "His connections will be beneficial as we work quickly to roll out the AccuraScope(TM) procedure to patients across the nation."

Faro most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Neospine, a company that partners with neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons to develop and manage outpatient spine care and surgery centers.

Additionally, in 2001, Faro helped found Surgical Alliance Corp., a Nashville, TN based company that developed musculoskeletal specialty surgical hospitals and outpatient surgery centers. Prior to that, he served as a Regional Director and played a key role in the start up and development of Amsurg Corp., a leading owner and operator of outpatient surgery centers.
