Staying Sharp in New York City

WHAT:

Brain health will be the focus of the Staying Sharp session on October 25 at Peter Norton Symphony Space in New York City. Part of a highly recognized series, the program emphasizes successful aging, including how to interpret the booming aging industry; factors that predict future cognitive function; and the importance of clinical trials and how to participate in them.

WHO:

The program is sponsored by The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives, in partnership with NRTA: AARP's Educator Community and the MetLife Foundation. Featured speakers will be:

  • Annette Norsman, PhD, session moderator and Director of Lifelong Learning, AARP
  • Bernice Grafstein, PhD, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, Vincent and Brooke Astor Distinguished Professor in Neuroscience, Weill Cornell Medical College
  • Charles Mobbs, PhD, Professor, Neuroscience and Geriatrics, Mount Sinai School of Medicine
  • Nikos Scarmeas, MD, MSc, Assistant Professor of Neurology, Columbia University Medical Center
