Status Conference Scheduled for December in Federal Ethicon Transvaginal Mesh Lawsuit Litigation, More than 10,270 Gynecare Cases Now Filed in Proceeding

A recent order issued in the federal Ethicon transvaginal mesh lawsuit (http://www.transvaginalmeshlawsuithelp.com/) litigation indicates that its next status conference will be held in December, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports.

According to a Scheduling Order announced on October 23rd, matters related to lawsuits filed in a proceeding underway in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of West Virginia will be discussed at a joint status conference on December 5th at 12:00 p.m. Recent court documents indicate that 10,270 lawsuits have been filed in the federal proceeding over Gynecare products marketed by the Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, Ethicon Inc. (In re: Ethicon, Inc., Pelvic Repair Systems Products Liability Litigation - MDL No. 2327)

Transvaginal mesh lawsuits filed in the federal Ethicon litigation allege injuries caused by Ethicon’s line of Gynecare pelvic mesh products, which have been associated with mesh erosion, chronic pain, infection and organ damage.
