Stater Bros. Introduces New 'Healthy Selections' Dietitian Program

Program will Support Healthy Eating with the Help of a Registered Dietitian

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Stater Bros. is proud to announce a new program designed to broaden the company's commitment to the overall health of its customers called "Healthy Selections."

The Stater Bros. "Healthy Sections" program will educate and encourage customers to make small changes in their lifestyle that will enhance their health and well-being. The program will be directed by registered dietitian Melissa Hooper. Hooper has specialized in nutrition communication, education and behavior modification for over ten years and past positions include being a media spokesperson, a nutrition consultant and working in a hospital as a fitness/wellness and clinical dietitian. Hooper holds both a Master's Degree in Nutrition, with an emphasis on childhood obesity, and a Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University. She was recently awarded the 2006-07 "Emerging Dietetic Leader" Award from the Kansas City District Dietetic Association.
