Stater Bros. Charities, KFRG Radio Stations and Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Will Present More Than 1,100 Brand-New Bikes to 4th Grade Students!

Students were chosen by their teachers from four counties, San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo and Mono for being outstanding students
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 1 p.m. Stater Bros. Charities, the newly established philanthropic arm of Stater Bros. Markets, in conjunction with KFRG radio stations will present more than 1,100 brand new bikes to community children on the field of the Arrowhead Credit Union Stadium in San Bernardino, California. The 4th grade students who will receive the bikes were nominated by their school teachers for being outstanding role models in their classrooms as well as being children who might be in need this holiday season.

The bike donations are part of the 7th Annual Stater Bros. Charities Kfroggers 4 Kids Radiothon presented by ConAgra Foods which took place on October 14 and 15, 2008. The students who will be receiving the new bikes will gather outside the Arrowhead Credit Union Stadium where the doors will open at 12 p.m. The bike recipients will be accompanied by their family and friends who watch as they run onto the field to get their brand new bike.
In addition, the annual Radiothon raised more than $482,000 for Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. With every $200 donation that a radio listener made, Stater Bros. Charities and its business partners donated a brand new bike to a 4th grade student.
