Statement of SEIU President Andy Stern Regarding UHW-W's Confirmation of Illegal Delegate Election Process

WASHINGTON, April 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SEIU President Andy Stern issued the following statement today in response to the now-confirmed illegal delegate elections of SEIU local union United Healthcare Workers-West (UHW-W):

"Any organization that claims it is the voice for member democracy and then holds an illegal election that excludes most rank and file members from running for office tarnishes democracy by its hypocrisy."
