WASHINGTON, May 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is a statement by Steve Case, Co-Founder, AOL and Chairman of Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure on news of Senator Ted Kennedy's brain cancer diagnosis:

"I was deeply saddened to learn that Senator Kennedy has a brain tumor. Just two weeks ago I had the opportunity to testify at a hearing chaired by Senator Kennedy on the need to redouble our nation's efforts to fight cancer, and was able to share some of the feelings my family had when my brother received a similar diagnosis.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Senator and his family at this difficult time. All of us at ABC2.org, and in the cancer community generally - are deeply grateful to Sen. Kennedy for all he has done to fight cancer - and we now stand with him as he fights on."
