Congratulations to New York State Governor David Paterson and Karen Carpenter-Palumbo, Commissioner of the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services for creating The Addictions Collaborative to Improve Outcomes for New York (ACTION) initiative and recognizing how substance abuse and addiction affects state agencies whose mission encompasses public safety, health, education, and welfare.
