NEW YORK, May 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University commends the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy(R) (NABP(R)) for its report State of the Internet: NABP Position Paper on the Continued Proliferation of Rogue Internet Drug Outlets. This report builds and expands on previous work by both NABP(R) and CASA through its "You've Got Drugs!": Prescription Drug Pushers on the Internet series. The NABP(R) report is an important contribution to our understanding of illegal trafficking of prescription drugs on the Internet and the risk such trafficking poses to all Americans, particularly our children. The continued online sale of these drugs in violation of U.S. law underscores the enormous importance of full and immediate implementation of the Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act.
