Standard Process Inc. Awards Scholarship to Palmer College of Chiropractic Student
Date:5/9/2017

Standard Process Inc. awarded Nathan Stegehuis, a student at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida, with a $2,500 scholarship. He accepted his award March 3 at the college’s Presidents Club reception. Every year Standard Process awards more than $90,000 in scholarships to students pursuing holistic health care.

“Thank you, Standard Process, for this most generous scholarship,” Stegehuis said. “This award will help ease the financial burden of graduate school as I continue on the path to becoming a chiropractor. I am forever grateful and honored to have been selected as a Standard Process scholarship award winner!”

Stegehuis is in his fifth quarter of a challenging program. He is expected to graduate in March of 2019 and plans to use the scholarship to further his chiropractic education in graduate school.

Standard Process proudly supports future health care professionals and is devoted to promoting healthy lifestyles. In addition to scholarships, the company offers learning opportunities by sponsoring student activities, giving educational tours, and investing in universities and colleges through grants and capital gifts.

For students to qualify for a Standard Process scholarship, they must meet the following criteria:

  •     Have at least one trimester remaining before graduation
  •     Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  •     Provide a list of their contributions to the chiropractic profession, the college and the community
  •     Provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member
  •     Provide a written response to the given question that applies to their field of study
