Dr. Van L. Wagner with Heart of America Bariatrics, LLC is continuing the fight against morbid obesity by expanding his reach to the community and around the world with an educational, state-of-the-art new website. www.hoab.org incorporates many of the newest and most innovative web tools.

(Vocus) November 25, 2008 -- Dr. Van L. Wagner and the St. Louis, Missouri bariatric weight loss surgery team at Heart of America Bariatrics, LLC are using the latest in internet technology to reach out to patients who are considering surgical procedures to combat morbid obesity. In a creative partnership with Rosemont Media, a bariatric surgery website design firm based in San Diego, California, Dr. Wagner has crafted an innovative new site designed to give comprehensive information to prospective patients on some of the most effective ways to lose weight and reduce serious health risks associated with obesity.

Morbid obesity is classified as being about 100 pounds over what's considered the ideal body weight for an individual. A person with a body mass index (BMI) of more than 35 is typically found to be morbidly obese. The condition affects more than 3 million Americans.
