St. John’s Episcopal Hospital is seeking an experienced healthcare executive to lead the organization, developing new business strategies which will enhance market share, grow volume and improve overall performance. The chief executive officer will provide management oversight for the development of high-quality, cost-effective and integrated clinical programs within the hospital. The new CEO will build a strong relationship with the Right Reverend Lawrence C. Provenzano, bishop of the diocese of Long Island and president of the board of trustees of EHS, keeping him informed of activities and developments as well as ensuring the hospital aligns with the mission of the diocese. The CEO will also report regularly to the board as the governing body of the hospital. Additionally, the CEO will collaborate with and direct senior leaders in the hospital to drive the patient experience and population health management, as well as assist in coordination of design and construction projects in the emergency and obstetrics departments. Finally, the CEO will define, lead and serve as a role model for an organizational culture that embraces process improvement, collaboration, trust and accountability.
