St. Christopher's Foundation For Children Ronald McDonald(R) Care Mobile Making Tri-State Visits to Provide Dental Care to Children at No Cost

In Honor of Dental Hygiene Month, Mobile Dental Clinic to Visit Delaware, Philadelphia, and Southern New Jersey to Provide Fluoride Varnish Treatment

to Area Children at No Cost to their Families!

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The St. Christopher's Foundation for Children Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be touring the Greater Philadelphia region in honor of National Dental Hygiene Month (October). The tour will include stops at the following locations:

October 6: St. Paul's Catholic Church Harvest and Food Fest, Wilmington


October 16: Broad Street Elementary School in conjunction with Community

Health Inc., Bridgeton, N.J.

October 24: Fairhill Elementary School in conjunction with Congreso,


At each stop, the mobile dental clinic will provide fluoride varnish treatment to children at no cost to their families as part of its mission to provide dental treatment to local children who have limited access to dental care. Ronald McDonald will accompany the St. Christopher's Foundation for Children Ronald McDonald Care Mobile to entertain the children while encouraging them to care for their teeth.

The Philadelphia Dental Hygienists' Association and the New Jersey Dental Hygienists' Association are proud partners in this tour. Through their generous donations of supplies, the St. Christopher's Foundation for Children Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be able to provide children with take home dental supplies in addition to the treatment they receive.

National Dental Hygiene Month is sponsored annually by the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA). The month is set aside to recognize the importance of proper oral hygiene. Each October, a specific theme is chosen to focus the effort, and the 2007 theme is "A Healthy Smile Lasts a Lifetime."


The St. Christopher's Foundation for Children Ronald McDonald Care Mobile provides comprehensive oral health care to young children in underserved communities throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region. The Care Mobile is a two-chair clinic on wheels that provides diagnostic, preventative and restorative dental care to qualified children, aged three to eight. Children qualify for the program if their families are unable to find a Medicaid provider or cannot afford to pay for dental services.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501(c) 3, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children in the Greater Philadelphia Region. In addition to the Care Mobile, RMHC of the Philadelphia Region supports the world's first Ronald McDonald House, located in Philadelphia, as well as the Southern New Jersey and Delaware Ronald McDonald Houses. Ronald McDonald House Charities receives support from McDonald's Corporation, McDonald's Owner/Operators, corporate donors and McDonald's customers.
