Springer to publish Journal of Medicine and the Person

Springer and the Association of Medicine and the Person are collaborating to publish the Journal of Medicine and the Person. The peer-reviewed, international journal is aimed at medical practitioners and scientists interested in broadening their knowledge in the field of ethics and quality of life. The first issue at Springer, Vol. 7, No. 1, is now available.

The Journal of Medicine and the Person publishes original scientific papers, state-of-the-art reviews, short communications, case reports, book reviews and society news. Topics include specialized expertise and a multidisciplinary approach to the patient, new methodologies and technical approaches to health care problems, health care as a profession with a worldwide perspective, and public health and social medicine. Editor-in-Chief is Professor Giancarlo Cesana of the Universit degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.

Springer Executive Editor of Medicine Journals in Italy, Carlotta d'Imporzano, said, "We are proud to welcome the Journal of Medicine and the Person to the Springer Italia medicine journals portfolio. This addition enriches our clinical medicine offering, giving an additional perspective to medical ethics. The journal has been completely revamped with a new cover, a new inside layout and an editorial board largely redefined in order to promote the journal's international scope. We are happy to have the opportunity to work with the Association of Medicine and the Person on this challenging project."

Professor Marco M. Ferrario, Associate Editor of the Journal of Medicine and the Person, said, "Our journal deals with multidisciplinary and multidimensional medical care. It aims to broaden knowledge and promote discussion among health care professionals, with particular reference to the humanistic aspects of medicine.
