Springer founds new electronic journal Head and Neck Pathology
Date:12/5/2007

Springer announces the launch of a new quarterly publication Head and Neck Pathology. Published under the Humana Press imprint, the journal is the official organ of the North American Society for Head and Neck Pathology (NASHNP). It will be exclusively accessible online. After its launch in December 2007, it will be available free of charge for two years on www.springerlink.com.

Head and Neck Pathology will present scholarly papers, reviews and case reports that cover the spectrum of human surgical pathology within the anatomic zones of the oral cavity, sinonasal tract, larynx, hypopharynx, salivary gland, ear and temporal bone, and neck. The journal will publish a wide range of state-of-the-art topics, allowing practioners to expand their knowledge in the subspecialty of head and neck pathology. Practical applications to daily clinical practice will be supported with proceedings and symposia from the international societies and academies devoted to this field.

The Editors-in-Chief, Lester D.R. Thompson of the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, Woodland Hills, CA and Lewis R. Eversole of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, San Francisco, CA, are supported by an international editorial board.

Richard A. Hruska, Editor, Clinical Medicine, at Humana Press said, Head and Neck Pathology represents our commitment to providing clinicians, pathologists and research scientists with state-of-the-art content. Readable, stimulating, scholarly manuscripts, relative to the diagnosis and pathogenesis of diseases of the head and neck region, will provide specialists with the information they need. We are looking forward to working with the excellent editors and editorial board on this new journal.
