Spring Clean Your Body for the Perfect Cleanse
Date:4/8/2008

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Throw down your mop and broom! Spring cleaning the house can wait while you clean out something really important -- your body. Daily exposure to thousands of toxins in the environment, food, cosmetics, and household cleaning products can produce a toxic load in the body that may result in poor health without regular cleansing.

"Ideally, you should cleanse with the seasons or four times a year," said natural health expert Jordan Rubin. In his new book Perfect Weight America (http://www.perfectweightamerica.com ) the New York Times best-selling author recommends a ten-day cleanse combined with chicken soup, fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds.

Detoxification of the body is important because the average American diet consists of unhealthy, processed foods loaded with too much sugar, artificial sweeteners and trans-fatty acids. According to Rubin, a poor diet can put stress on the digestive system and liver and introduces harmful toxins into the bloodstream. This toxic build-up decreases the function of major organs, which can result in fatigue and a general feeling of poor health.

In addition to cleansing with a diet of whole foods, Rubin recommends using the supplement Perfect Cleanse(TM) formulated by Garden of Life, Inc. (http://www.gardenoflife.com ). As founder and CEO of Garden of Life, Rubin says Perfect Cleanse is the only cleansing system that he has tried that did not make him feel weak or keep him running to the bathroom.

Rubin also prefers Perfect Cleanse because it contains whole food-based ingredient botanicals without synthetic stimulants that are harsh on the body. The product is formulated with USDA certified organic fiber in a patent-pending proprietary blend unique to Perfect Cleanse. Rubin says this is significant because the organic fibers do not introduce additional toxins into the body as some non-organic cleanses tend to do.

Perfect Cleanse is also unique among cleanses because of its triple-action formula that "purifies, captures and removes" toxins and works in synergy with the body's natural detoxification system. The first purification step supports the liver and helps with normal detoxification while the "capture" stage helps trap and bind toxins secreted through bile for transport from the body.* The final "removal" stage sweeps the colon of accumulated waste and gently removes toxins in the digestive tract.

In addition to cleansing for better health, cleanses are beneficial to anyone starting a special diet or weight loss program.

"Perfect Cleanse is a great way to jump-start a diet," said 56-year-old Vivian Mohl of West Palm Beach, Florida. "I was surprised it was not harsh and did not cause any discomfort. I felt energized and better than ever after this cleanse!"

Perfect Cleanse has a suggested retail price of $27.99, and is available at health food stores nationwide. For store locations, visit http://www.gardenoflife.com .
