Sport and Spine Rehab of Columbia Announces the Addition of Dr. Rob Agosto, Doctor of Physical Therapy to Its Clinical Team
Date:7/27/2014

Columbia, MD (PRWEB) July 27, 2014

Dr. Rob Agosto, DPT, who has been with the Sport and Spine Rehab Companies since 2006 and had until recently been caring for patients at the Sport and Spine Rehab of Rockville entity, has joined Dr. Chris Steacy, DC at Sport and Spine Rehab of Columbia creating a multi-specialty clinical team.

“For many years, the patients of Columbia have lived happier and healthier lives as a result of the clinical expertise of Dr. Steacy. We worked to get another fantastic clinician, Dr. Robert Agosto, to Columbia and by adding a physical therapist, we are able to serve a larger population such as those in the community with Tricare benefits. Our Columbia clinic now has two of the best clinicians in the mid-Atlantic under one roof – what a great thing for the people of Howard County!” said Dr. Barton Bishop, DPT and Chief Clinical Officer of the Sport and Spine Rehab companies.

Dr. Agosto earned his B.S. degree in Rehabilitation Services in 2001 from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, and he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in 2006. His doctoral project was on conservative treatment of piriformis syndrome. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Sports Section. He is a certified Clinical instructor, Graston Technique provider, Kinesio Tape practitioner, and trained in Dry Needling. He is also certified to perform the Functional Movement Screen and Selective Functional Movement Assessment. He studied manual therapy under world renowned physical therapist Jim Meadows.

Dr. Agosto and Dr. Steacy are both key contributors to Sport and Spine Rehab’s patented Funhab rehab program and are currently collaborating to insure the continual improvement of the program as evidenced based data is published and rehab evolves.

Dr. Agosto was recently added as a provider for Tricare and is now able to treat patients with Tricare North, Tricare Prime, and Health Net Federal Services benefits.

Sport and Spine Rehab Companies provide chiropractic, physical therapy, and rehab services at seven locations in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Services include Graston Technique, Kinesio Taping Method, and Funhab® which is Sport and Spine Rehab's own trademarked research-based functional rehab protocols. Visit http://www.ssrehab.com.
