Deaconess Medical Center and Valley Hospital Enhance Community Healthcare
TACOMA, Wash., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Sound Inpatient Physicians(TM) (Sound), a leading national hospitalist company, announced two new contracts in Spokane, Wash., with Deaconess Medical Center and Valley Hospital and Medical Center. Sound initiated service to both hospitals at the end of 2008. Five existing hospitalists, already serving the hospitals, were incorporated into the Sound program. Within two months of implementing the program, Sound now has a 14-physician model and two dedicated clinical coordinators serving the patients, hospitals and greater medical community under the leadership of Scot Smith, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Sound Inpatient Physicians.
