NYC-based firm to lead media outreach for TRIA, the first hair removal

laser to enter U.S. home-based beauty device market

NEW YORK, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SpectraGenics announced today it has appointed Rpr Marketing Communications as its U.S. agency of record for TRIA, the first hair removal laser to enter the U.S. home-based beauty device market.

SpectraGenics, Inc. is a leader in development of light-based therapeutic beauty devices that empower consumers to incorporate clinically proven aesthetic technologies into their personal care regimens.

The TRIA, a patented hand-held laser hair removal device, recently received over-the-counter clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for at-home use. The TRIA is the first in a series of at-home science-based beauty devices to be pioneered by SpectraGenics.

In 2003, these individuals founded SpectraGenics, Inc. and assembled an international team of experts in aesthetic laser technology to develop its flagship TRIA device and future innovations in science-driven consumer beauty products.

Rpr Marketing Communications will lead a national media relations campaign to build brand awareness and drive demand for TRIA.
