Specialist Eric R. Braverman, MD Discusses Dementia Prevention With Presidential Hopeful Hillary Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s has stated her commitment to dramatically increase funding of Alzheimer’s disease research with the goal to find a cure by the year 2025. New York-based Eric R. Braverman, MD, with 25 years of experience in the areas of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and considered a guru in the field, proposes that there should be allocation of significant funds toward identifying the disease’s early stages. He encourages universal BEAM (Brain Electrical Activity Map) tests for detection, which can be easily administered in a primary care physician’s office. As a post-grad at Harvard, he was involved in the research and development of the test and has seen its ability to help to diagnose the likelihood of the disease based on the progression of Mild Cognitive Impairment.
