Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) November 21, 2013

Special Learning Inc., the leading global provider of mobile technology applications and educational resources for the special needs community, announced today the release of its newest mobile teaching application for the iPhone and iPad, the Expanding Language app. The robust and intuitive features of the app allow users with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other language deficits to effectively communicate their basic wants and needs as well as build on foundational vocabulary necessary to increase academic success and maximize independence.

“The Expanding Language app provides children with ASD and other speech and language disabilities with a fun, easy-to-use and socially acceptable way to expand their vocabulary,” said Karen Chung, Founder and Chief Executive Office of Special Learning Inc. "Individuals with all levels of disabilities can easily navigate the app as an assistive device, allowing children to have a voice and learn about common objects in their world at the same time.”

Developed under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other experts in the field of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis, the Expanding Language app offers complete customizability to meet the needs of each unique learner by adding and changing new categories, items, voices, themes, labels, and more. In addition, facilitators will have access to additional administrative options including the ability to track and record frequency data, as well as supporting and backing up the device with Special Learning’s backend user support interface, the Mobile Dashboard ™.
