Sparta Systems Launches Hong Kong Operations to Drive Enterprise Quality and Compliance in Asia-Pacific Region

Regional and Industry Veterans to Serve Global Manufacturers with APAC Presence for Managing Complex Supply Chains

HOLMDEL, N.J., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Sparta Systems, Inc., the maker of TrackWise(R) software and the market leader in enterprise quality and compliance management solutions, today announced that it has opened Hong Kong operations to expand its global footprint and drive quality and compliance standards in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. To lead this initiative, Sparta Systems has appointed industry veteran Critz Chan to serve as the managing director of APAC and set the business strategy, drive overall sales and support customer deployments for the region.

Regulatory mandates for quality in the life science industry differ around the world, with regulators and manufacturers alike struggling to ensure compliance across lengthening global supply chains. With an ever-growing number of global suppliers and stakeholders in emerging regions, companies constantly seek to improve operational efficiencies, streamline processes and drive returns in this highly competitive worldwide manufacturing market. More than ever, quality management across global operations has become a necessity.

According to IMS Health's annual study, "Global Pharmaceutical Market Size & Growth by Region 2008," while the global market has only a two-to-three percent increase in sales forecasted for 2009, emerging markets, including China and India, are predicted to continue double-digit growth figures through at least 2013. To support the growing marketplace, APAC managing director Critz Chan has already begun building his team, bringing on board a quality and regulatory compliance expert to run the sales support department.
