Sovereign Health would like to announce that it has partnered with the West Coast Symposium on Addictive Disorders (WCSAD) to present an Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Training. At this year’s upcoming West Coast Symposium, Sovereign Health will be presenting a two-day long training entitled: “Department of Transportation: Substance Abuse Professional (DOT/SAP)”.
The WCSAD is a catalyst for forging new bonds, creating new referral networks and generating significant return on investments for exhibitors and supporters. At WCSAD, expect to reach Employee Assistance Professionals, Social Workers, Psychologists, Professional Counselors, Chemical Dependency Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Rehabilitation Counselors & Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors and more. Last year, WCSAD hosted more than 705 participants from 7 countries and 45 states. This year the conference will take place at the La Quinta Resort & Club from May 30th to June 2nd.
At the symposium, Sovereign Health will be presenting a two-day training on the requirements of a Substance Abuse Professional, led by Mr. Steven S. Garnham. The SAP training is designed to address the needs of those wishing to become Substance Abuse Professionals with the Department of Transportation.
SAPs are the individuals who evaluate employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and make recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
