Smith, the only full-service leadership solutions firm dedicated exclusively to healthcare providers, has been retained to lead a national chief nursing officer search for SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) and Mount Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka, Alaska. SEARHC is a Joint Commission accredited, not-for-profit, tribal health consortium of 18 Native communities and is one of the oldest and largest Native-run health organizations in the nation. As the largest employer in Sitka, SEARHC is an integral component of the community. Mount Edgecumbe Hospital is a 27-bed facility offering comprehensive healthcare services including emergency and critical care, medical, surgical and women’s services.

The chief nursing officer will lead the hospital nursing division in the delivery of quality, cost effective care across the continuum. He/She will partner with the senior leadership team to develop new services and grow volumes. The new CNO will leverage leadership experience and clinical expertise to drive operating efficiencies and increase patient satisfaction.
