Source Endurance and So High Sports Announce Research Alliance for Physiology and Human Performance

AUSTIN, Texas, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Source Endurance is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with So High Sports and Fitness of San Marcos Texas to collaborate on human performance research and development. The agreement will encompass several areas of collaboration including the sharing and analysis of testing data, development of new protocols and training approaches, and deployment of one of the first Retul Dynamic 3-D Motion Capture Bike Fit Systems in Texas. The Retul system allows precise dynamic measurements of no less than 14 dimensions of bike fit while the cyclist is actually pedaling the bike. The Retul system is modeled after the approach developed by Dr. Andy Pruitt of the Boulder Center of Sports Medicine.

The Retul Dynamic 3-D Motion Capture Bike Fit System will split time between the Austin and San Marcos facilities. The Retul system will allow Source Endurance to further enhance their Time Trial and Triathlon specific Wind Tunnel camps with the data driven approach to bike fitting. Franko Vatterott of Retul is excited to see a unit coming to Texas, and added, "We are very pleased to see Retul systems go into the Texas market. The service approaches of both Source Endurance and So High are the ideal environments for our product, and we are looking forward to adding a world class tool to an already established reputation for bike fit excellence at Source Endurance."

As part of the research collaboration, Source Endurance will provide consulting to So High Sports and Fitness for the specification of equipment for the So High Human Performance Lab to be located in the training center being opened by Charles Austin in San Marcos, TX. Charles is current Olympic record holder for the High Jump (7'10") and was the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal winner for that event. In addition to provisioning, SE will provide process guidance for the operations of the lab.
