Find New Video 'Milestones in Oncology' Presentations at http://www.sto-online.org

CHICAGO, May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Society for Translational Oncology (STO) is pleased to announce the launch of its newly updated website, highlighting uniquely valuable video presentations for practicing oncologists.

The announcement was made on the occasion of the 2008 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), being held May 30-June 3 at McCormick Place in Chicago. "STO is doubly proud to launch our new website and, with it, debut three new 'Milestones in Oncology' educational programs," said Dr. Carmen J. Allegra, Chairman of the STO Board and Director of Clinical and Translational Research and Chief, Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Florida. "Each of these is a groundbreaking dialogue with the innovator who has shaped major advances in the care of cancer patients."

Located at http://www.sto-online.org, the new website serves as the focus for STO's state-of-the-art educational initiatives. Founded by oncologists in 2000, STO's mission is to speed the discovery and translation of important new treatments to the practice of global oncology. The Society brings knowledge and strategies for critical new developments in cancer treatment into the practice environment of the community oncologist.

The 'Milestones in Oncology' series is the centerpiece of the updated website, with three timely new presentations online now.
