Young patients and their friends at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian will be among the first to test the Sneaky Chef's new items making their debut on the Hospital's patient menu: a delicious pasta and marinara sauce and an irresistible mac 'n' cheese dish that each contain pureed sweet potatoes and carrots as the sneaky secret ingredients.
Tasting stations will be set up at the press conference site. Press are welcome to sample.
Author Missy Chase Lapine, the former publisher of Eating Well magazine, is donating her signature healthy recipes-and a portion of the profits of her book, "The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals"-to the Hospital. Ms. Lapine's unique culinary technique enhances kids' favorite foods with innovative vegetable and fruit purees that boost the nutrient quotient of the dishes while remaining completely imperceptible in taste and texture.
