Smartening up: Mediaplanet’s “Green Living” campaign automates viable at-home and lifestyle choices for Canada’s sustainable future
Date:9/24/2014

(PRWEB) September 24, 2014

The print component of “Green Living” is distributed within today’s edition of Toronto Star, with a circulation of approximately 230,400 copies and an estimated readership of 622,100. The digital component is distributed nationally through a vast social media strategy and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. To explore the digital version of the campaign, http://greenlivingnews.ca.

Featured within the publication is Mike Holmes, Holmes on Homes, with tips and industry insight on eco-conscious renovations for Canadian’s residential upgrades. Holmes agrees that “green living is smart, especially when it cuts down on energy costs, but like everything else you need to do it right,” and points readers in an efficient, energy literate direction. Ontario Minister of Energy, Bob Chiarelli, highlights Ontario’s Long Term Energy Plan and focuses on conservation as the primary resource in meeting Ontario’s energy needs, along with new technologies that will help Canadians stay aware and properly updated on their energy consumption. Special editorial from Bob Huggard, President and CEO, Ontario Energy Association, shares his thoughts on the province’s future energy mix and sourcing, stating, “In the longer term, solutions will come from the energy innovation sector and the development of technologies that allow us to better manage energy production, distribution, and consumption.”

Special thanks to the Power Workers’ Union; Energy Exchange; Hunter Douglas; Reliance Protectron; Restoration Gardens; and others, for their support in the making of this campaign.
