In the months since its launch, Seva Call has sent 375,713 (and counting) business opportunities to small companies across the country.
Seva Call is a virtual concierge service that connects consumers to available local service providers by phone and in seconds small business owners are reaping the benefits of access to the high quality leads.
Seva Call targets the 85 percent of consumers who, according to a Sterling report, search local businesses online. Consumers spend 30 minutes on average visiting at least 10 website before finding the right contractor.
Of course, this also has an impact on companies. Small business owners are losing $10.3 billion in outdated contact listings, with 24 percent of businesses not showing up in search results at all (Sterling). Seva Call founder Gurpreet Singh experienced the disconnect first hand as the owner of a small computer repair company.
“I would get calls from consumers who needed services we didn’t offer, who were outside of our service area or whose schedule we couldn’t accommodate,” Singh said. “Some customers had called 5 or 6 companies before reaching us. I knew there had to be a better way.”
Operating in over 50 service categories, Seva Call addresses the obvious disconnect by matching consumers to companies based on proximity, schedule, the job needed, and even quality control measures like online consumer ratings and reviews, social media interactions and call analytics.
Seva Call then contacts the top-rated businesses via phone, email or text, giving them a free preview of all the important details of the service request and offering them the option to speak to the customer. Member companies pay a small flat rate if they take they speak to the customer.
