Skincare Industry Newcomer Shines
Date:7/8/2009

ARDMORE, Pa., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Lindi LLC, and the recently introduced Lindi(R) Face Wash, have been awarded the Mass Skin Care Product Award by the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD) at the sixth annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year in New York City on June 11, 2009.

Innovation has long been the hallmark of independent brands within the beauty and personal care markets and Lindi Skin continues the legacy. ICMAD President David Schieffelin commented, "The CITY Awards represent dedication, effort and creativity by members of ICMAD and recognize the innovations that independent companies bring to the beauty industry." Identifying a significant and unmet market niche and providing solutions via its Lindi Skin line, Lindi has emerged as a market leader on skincare issues experienced by individuals undergoing treatment for cancer.

"We knew that we created something very unique with Lindi Face Wash and we are thrilled that the industry has recognized it. In taking on the challenge of skin compromised by aggressive therapies, we advocate proactive care for skin," explained Sheila Bergey, President & COO, who was present to accept the award. "And the path to healthy skin begins with a gentle wash that does not interfere with the skin's own system of maintenance. So many cleansers strip the skin and contribute to dryness and irritation. Lindi Face Wash is designed to help maintain the intercellular lipids, moderate moisture loss and support the skin's acid mantle. Formulated to be non-foaming and easily rinsed, the product is naturally based and naturally preserved. It leaves your skin feeling renewed."
