The complaint for this Skechers lawsuit (Case No. 3:13-cv-00452-TBR) details how the plaintiff’s use of Shape-Ups caused her to develop serious foot injuries. According to court documents, the plaintiff bought her Shape-Ups in April 2011. Within about one month of regularly wearing her Shape-Ups, the plaintiff had been walking on a flat surface when the unstable rocker bottom of one of her shoes turned inwards, causing her to fall and suffer from excruciating foot pain.

Once the boot was removed from her injured foot, the plaintiff also underwent extensive physical therapy. While the plaintiff lost three months of income because her Skechers foot injuries prevented her from being able to work, she also continues to have limited use of her injured foot due to these severe injuries.
