  • Joseph Buxbaum, Ph.D., Director, Seaver Autism Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His research on the molecular mechanisms of a gene associated with autism show how altered genes impact learning in brain cells and also reveal a potential new therapy for autism.

  • Stanley Nelson, Ph.D., Professor of Human Genetics and Psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is the lead investigator on an ambitious and innovative project funded by Autism Speaks to establish and validate a method for recruiting large numbers of participants in autism genetics studies.
