Kansas City based rough plumbing manufacturer, Sioux Chief, announced its new stainless steel strainer for the Square Max floor sink is now in stock and ready to ship.
The new strainer is very similar to Sioux Chief’s nickel-bronze models, but is cast in 304 Series stainless steel and has a standard/matte finish. Sioux Chief is the only rough plumbing manufacturer offering a PVC floor sink with cast stainless steel ring/strainer.
“Stainless steel is stronger than PVC and is superior to nickel-bronze or cast iron in terms of durability for most floor sink applications,” said Sioux Chief product group director, Chris Ismert. “It’s also easily cleaned and chemical-resistant, which is important in the floor sink environment.”
The 304 stainless steel strainer is often specified in food preparation areas and commercial kitchens, making it a perfect strainer material for the Square Max floor sinks.
In addition, stainless steel is widely used in dairies, chemical/medical areas, breweries, and other applications where strength and corrosion resistance are key requirements.
Stainless steel strainers are also available in open-half and open-quarter patterns, and with vandal-resistant screws and can be ordered any time by using Z (for stainless steel) in the item number, in place of N (for nickel-bronze).
Updated Specification sheets are available.
