Singers Mandisa & Jake Owen Help Community Health Organization Set Guinness World Record and Governor's Official Proclamation Declared

OVIEDO, Fla., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- It's official. Central Floridians helped set a new Guinness World Record for the Most Blood Pressure Screenings in a Single Day. The new record 2,075 blood pressure screenings, were taken during the Get Healthy Florida Fest held on May 23 in Oviedo, FL. In from London was official Guinness World Record Adjudicator, Mariamarta "Mia" Ruano-Graham, who verified the record onsite. Country Music star Jake Owen, and American Idol star Mandisa, both performed concerts at the free fest and were part of the BP tally. Jake joined World Record recipients on stage as Mia presented the official Guinness World Record certificate to Get Healthy Florida and Novartis Pharmaceuticals in partnership with Centra Care and the Project Pressure campaign.

Earlier in the day, Florida's Deputy Secretary of Health, Kimberly Berfield, read an official proclamation sent by Florida Governor Charlie Crist declaring Saturday 'Get Healthy Florida Fest Day'.
