WOONSOCKET, R.I., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- SilverScript Insurance
Company, a subsidiary of CVS Caremark (NYSE: CVS), announced today that it
will continue to offer a variety of Medicare Prescription Drug Plan options
for 2009 in all 34 domestic Medicare regions and Puerto Rico. Medicare
beneficiaries can choose from three SilverScript plans depending on their
individual health care needs and budget, including:
-- SilverScript Complete - a zero-deductible plan that includes coverage of
generic medications through retail or mail order pharmacies during the
coverage gap. The plan also features reduced copays on Value Tier
Generics at preferred retail and mail pharmacies, with copays as low as
$6 for a 90-day supply of certain generics by mail.
-- SilverScript Plus - a low deductible plan that offers discounted copays
for specified generic and branded medications (Value Tier Generics and
Value Tier Brands) at preferred retail and mail pharmacies. Generics are
covered through the coverage gap, with significantly lower copays
available through preferred retail and mail pharmacies, with copays as
low as $10 for a 90 day supply of some generics at mail.
-- SilverScript Value - a low-premium plan that offers access to many
brand, generic and specialty medications. This plan is ideal for
Medicare-eligible beneficiaries who currently take only a few
medications, but want to be enrolled in a plan with comprehensive
coverage in the event that their health needs change.
