Silver®Care’s New Silver Antibacterial Toothbrushes Naturally Kill Oral Germs
Date:7/25/2014

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) July 25, 2014

Silver®Care, for the first time in the United States, launches their innovative toothbrushes with antibacterial silver that naturally kill oral bacteria and airborne bacteria from the bathroom that may land on the brush.

A toothbrush is the most common and important device in the prevention of plaque-related diseases, dental health and hygiene, however, it is subject to constant contamination by bacteria found in the mouth and in the air.

There are more bacteria in the mouth than anywhere else in the human body, and some of them get on your toothbrush when you brush your teeth. In addition, most people store their toothbrush in the bathroom, which tends to contain numerous airborne bacteria because of the warm, moist environment. These bacteria can land on both adult and kids toothbrushes alike.

According to the American Dental Association, (Toothbrush Care: Cleaning, Storing and Replacement) in recent years, scientists have studied whether toothbrushes may harbor microorganisms that could cause oral and/or systemic infection. ”We know that the oral cavity is home to hundreds of different types of microorganisms; therefore, it is not surprising that some of these microorganisms are transferred to a toothbrush during use. It may also be possible for microorganisms that are present in the environment where the toothbrush is stored to establish themselves on the brush.”

Silver®Care toothbrushes provide a healthy solution for these issues. The head of their toothbrushes are coated with antibacterial silver. When the head comes into contact with water the pure silver releases active silver ions, and a natural and continuous antibacterial process begins. This antibacterial process is perfectly safe as it does not implement any chemical agents.

A study was done to evaluate the residual contamination of Streptococcus mutans on a conventional toothbrush compared to a Silver®Care toothbrush with its silver-plated head, after daily use. The data obtained demonstrates the antibacterial activity of the silver ions released from the surface of the toothbrush head reduce up to 99% of the bacterial charge. The bacterial charge that instead remains and increases on conventional toothbrushes.

INNOVATION

The new member of the unique Silver®Care family is the innovative Silver®Care One toothbrush, featuring a Power Balanced System that induces precision and absolute control for a correct brushing technique. It comes with 3 refill heads, each with a different sensational experience; Sensitive, Medium and Whitening. Refill packs are also available.

“When being innovative, someone will tell you that you’re nuts. My advice is to believe in your projects because what’s dangerous is not to evolve. My dream is to offer innovative antibacterial, ecological oral care throughout the world. I’m talking about quality stuff, made in Italy,” said CEO Federico Zecchin.
