Silas Home Care Selects Cardiocom Telehealth Technology
Date:7/20/2009

MINNEAPOLIS, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Silas Home Care, Inc. announced that it has entered into a business relationship with Cardiocom(R) to provide advanced home telehealth technology to patients with chronic illness. Cardiocom, the Experts in Telehealth(SM), is a world class developer, manufacturer and clinical service provider of award-winning telehealth solutions.

Cardiocom's telehealth system provides an interactive opportunity to proactively manage patient care. Every day, patients of Silas Home Care use the Cardiocom Telehealth System to communicate with a Silas home health nurse. The Home Telemonitoring System guides the patient through an interactive Health Check and collection of vital signs including: weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood glucose and heart rate. This information is immediately transmitted via a standard phone line to the patient's caregiver for review.

"The Cardiocom System is a valuable device that proactively ensures coordinated care from our staff visitations and client self monitoring," says John Dziubik, RN, Director of Nursing of Silas Home Care. "Cardiocom's Commander device reports measurable data that is vital to home care goals and we can adjust outcomes based on real time information. We are very excited about being one of the agencies using Cardiocom in the State of Michigan. Our agency is confident that with this business relationship completed and the launch of the Cardiocom System our clients will have a unique benefit to their care that they cannot find anywhere else," adds Robin E. Silas, BSA, MSA, President and Founder of Silas Home Care.
