Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) June 20, 2013
The ISA (International Seabuckthorn Association) founded by members of the scientific, agricultural and trade communities, announced their 6th annual international conference to take place October 14 to 17, 2013 in Potsdam, Germany.
Bruce McMullin, Founder and CEO of Sibu, LLC and recognized as the man greatly responsible for introducing the benefits of sea buckthorn to the United States will again be attending this year’s conference. Sibu grows and harvests sea buckthorn berries in the Himalayan Mountains and manufacturers wellness and beauty products, based on the berry, in the United States. What makes sea buckthorn so compelling is that it contains the largest amount of Omega 7 of any food source, plus over 190 bioactives.
McMullin, a presenter at past ISA conferences and the founder of the USSA (United States Seabuckthorn Association) noted, “For anyone that is involved in any aspect of sea buckthorn or those wanting to become involved and learn everything from how to grow, harvest, process the berry; uses of the fruit; or for scientific research studies, this annual conference is a must. New attributes of the centuries-old fruit are being realized every day including the recent discovery of Ethyl Glucose (C8 H16 06), a totally new and never before recognized sugar, which will be presented by Dr. Baoru Yang and Dr. Veli-Markku Korteniemi from University of Turku, Finland. Sea buckthorn has been identified as the only place in nature where this sugar is found, and it is believed to help with insulin resistance, and assist in weight loss in obese women. Topics will also address the ability sea buckthorn has in helping to lower cholesterol and improve numerous internal functions associated with ingesting the berry’s puree and fruit oil.”
The 2013 ISA Conference will serve as an international symposium to exchange ideas, recognize developments/best practices and showcase the latest advancements and scientific research on the hardy orange berry now recognized as one of the fastest growing and most notable super fruits available.
