(OTC Bulletin Board: SCOM) ("Sharps" or the "Company"), a leading provider of cost-effective medical waste disposal solutions for industry and consumers, today announced that it will release its first quarter fiscal year 2008 results on Tuesday, October 23, 2007.

The release of the financial results will be followed by a company-hosted teleconference and webcast beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET. During the teleconference, Burton J. Kunik, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and David P. Tusa, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will review the financial and operating results for the period and discuss Sharps' corporate strategy and outlook.
