Shared Health(R) Names Adnane Khalil as Chief Information Officer

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Shared Health, one of the nation's largest public/private health information exchanges, announced today the appointment of Adnane Khalil as vice president, technology, and chief information officer.

Khalil will focus on building products and services that improve the way healthcare is delivered to Shared Health's population of more than 2.5 million patients. Khalil has more than 15 years experience in creating, integrating and managing information technology systems for companies nationwide.

"His background in integrating business and IT goals will benefit Shared Health's customers by delivering market-based solutions that enable Shared Health to continue to transform care."

Khalil brings a solid track record to Shared Health, most recently serving as executive vice president of technology, chief technology officer and chief information officer at MedAvant Healthcare Solutions. Previously, he was the director of corporate technologies at WEBMD Corporation, senior manager of application/database administration and disaster recovery operations at MAXIM Group. He also served at Kaiser Permanente and Dun & Bradstreet Software Services in similar capacities.

Khalil received a bachelor of science degree from the University of West Florida in computer science and an M.B.A. from Brenau University. He will reside in Chattanooga, Tenn.
