Sergeant's(R) Pet Care Products Announces Cause Marketing Partnership With the National Wildlife Federation

-Portion of Proceeds to Support the NWF and its Mission-

OMAHA, Neb., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sergeant's Pet Care Products, a leading full line supplier of pet products, proudly announces a cause marketing partnership with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), America's leading conservation organization with over 5 million members and supporters and a leader in nature education for over 70 years.

"Similar to National Wildlife Federation, Sergeant's has a long and rich heritage," says Caryn Stichler, Sergeant's vice president of marketing. "Sergeant's prides itself as being on the forefront of the 'green' movement in its dedication to the health and well-being of pets and their environment. A partnership with the National Wildlife Federation is a perfect match to jointly help raise funds, awareness and a passion to support Sergeant's mission and the NWF in its efforts to teach adults and children to conserve, experience, appreciate and respect the natural world," says Stichler.

The partnership will include co-branding and marketing of three product lines in which the NWF logo will appear on all products and a portion of the proceeds will directly support the NWF's conservation programs.

The campaign's three product lines include the following:

-- Sergeant's Nature's Guardian natural flea and tick control products:

For the consumer who wants a product that is safe to use around

children and pets while at the same time being an effective natural

alternative to flea and tick control.

-- Sergeant's Nature's Guardian health care products: Offers pet owners a

variety of natural solutions that are environmentally friendly,

responsible and effective remedies for both dogs and cats.

-- Protected Wildlife Plush Toys: The toys represent animals from all over

the globe that are in some way endangered, protected or threatened.

"The Protected Wildlife Plush Toys provide an educational opportunity for the pet owner and a durable toy for their dog to enjoy," says Stichler. "Each toy provides general information and facts about the endangered species, as well as what efforts are underway to save the animal and its habitat. When pet owners collect the toys, they help protect our planet in a fun and easy way," says Stichler.

Research shows 87% percent of consumers are likely to switch from one brand to another that is about the same in price and quality, if the other brand is associated with a cause, according to the 2007 Cone Agency Cause Evolution Survey.
