Sentinelle Medical Introduces New Suite of Breast MRI Coils for GE, Siemens and Toshiba Scanners
Date:12/1/2009

TORONTO, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ - Sentinelle Medical Inc., a leading manufacturer of breast MRI coils and 4D advanced visualization software, extends its line of award winning breast coils at this year's Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 30 - Dec. 5, 2009 (Booth 5800, Hall A).

With the unique Vanguard(R) patient support design and proprietary Variable Coil Geometry(TM), Sentinelle's line of breast coils are recognized for delivering unprecedented image quality and interventional access in MRI. Dr. Bruce Porter of First Hill Diagnostic Imaging in Seattle, WA states "The extremely high signal to noise and resolution of the Sentinelle breast coil, especially for the axillary tail and nodes, clearly advances breast MR both for diagnosis and as a breast cancer staging tool." In 2008, Sentinelle released Vanguard 1.5T 8 channel offerings for GE, Siemens and Toshiba MRI systems. At RSNA 2009, Sentinelle will introduce a number of new Vanguard breast coils, expanding both the depth and breadth of offerings for each of their key partners.

The Vanguard for GE is known for its workflow-enhancing 1.5T 8 channel stretcher-based coil solution. This year, Sentinelle is showcasing a significantly expanded line of both stretcher and tabletop-based solutions that address both 1.5T and 3.0T imaging on GE's Signa(R) HDxt, Discovery(TM) and Optima(TM) MRI platforms that will ship in 2010. The lineup for the Signa(R) HDxt platform will add a 3T 8 channel stretcher and a 1.5T 8 channel tabletop offering. Sentinelle is also excited to introduce high channel count offerings for GE's new platforms with the 1.5T 16 channel Optima(TM) MR450w stretcher-based coil and the 3.0T 16 channel Discovery(TM) MR750 tabletop coil.

Sentinelle's Vanguard for Siemens product line is expanded from the current 1.5T 8 channel offerings for the MAGNETOM(R) Espree(TM), MAGNETOM(R) Avanto(TM) and MAGNETOM(R) Symphony, A Tim(TM)
