Sentinelle Medical Enters OEM Distribution Agreement with Toshiba
Date:11/30/2008

TORONTO, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ - Sentinelle Medical Inc., a leading manufacturer of breast MRI coils and software, and Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. are announcing an OEM Distribution Agreement for Sentinelle's Vanguard(R) T-Series coil at this year's Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago, Nov. 30 - Dec. 5, 2008. (Sentinelle Booth 6259, Hall A)

Under this agreement, Toshiba will offer the Sentinelle Vanguard(R) T-Series, 1.5T, 8 channel tabletop breast coils for Vantage Atlas(TM) and Vantage Titan(TM), through its North American direct sales channels. Toshiba will be integrating this system into its Radiance Plus Breast Imaging Suite. Access for breast positioning and intervention is optimized with the Sentinelle Vanguard's unique patient support design. Sentinelle's proprietary Variable Coil Geometry(TM) optimizes coil positioning which can result in improved signal-to-noise ratio, significantly increasing the image quality. Exams can also be performed feet first, reducing patient anxiety and claustrophobia.

"Sentinelle's partnership with Toshiba, an innovator in breast MRI, will increase patient accessibility to MRI technology and the early detection of breast cancer", said Cameron Piron, Sentinelle's President and CEO. "Toshiba's commitment to improving the patient experience and ultimately, to delivering better health outcomes through improved imaging, is clearly a strong fit with Sentinelle's guiding philosophies."

"These new coils help round out our offerings and allow us to provide a complete package for breast MR", said Bob Giegerich, director of MR Business Unit, Toshiba. "The Sentinelle coils' increased Signal to Noise when combined with Toshiba's low noise MR allows greatly improved visualization in breast MR images."
