Presentations will address value and importance of IAM solutions in

healthcare environments

ANDOVER, Mass., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Sentillion, whose identity and access management (IAM) solutions are the most widely implemented in healthcare, will be featured in two executive presentations at Gartner's Identity & Access Management Summit 2008 next week in Orlando, Florida. Sentillion will also be exhibiting at the Gartner conference, being held November 10-12 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

Sentillion's chief technology officer, David Fusari, will deliver a presentation titled, "IAM: The Rx for Secure & Quick Access to Electronic Medical Records" on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 3:15 p.m. Fusari will describe how IAM solutions -- including single sign-on (SSO), user provisioning, advanced forms of authentication technologies and context management -- have had a measurable impact on healthcare organizations' ability to overcome the challenges presented by computerized patient record systems. These IAM solutions help to eliminate remembering multiple passwords or sharing of passwords, while improving caregiver workflow, IT efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Following Fusari's talk, John West, chief technology officer at Birmingham, Alabama-based Baptist Health System, will deliver a presentation titled, "Eliminating the Password Headache to Improve User Acceptance and IT Efficiencies." West will discuss the strategic drivers surrounding his organization's IAM initiative, provide an overview of the market evaluation that it conducted, and offer details pertaining to its implementation of Sentillion Vergence(R), including best practices and lessons learned.
