Seniors Invited to Learn About Fraud Prevention at SCAN Connections Resource Center on April 28

Come learn about the most common fraudulent activities in our community

PHOENIX, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- SCAN Health Plan of Arizona and the state Attorney General's office are inviting seniors to attend a free presentation on fraud prevention on Tuesday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at the SCAN Connections Resource Center at 1313 E. Osborn Road, Suite 150, in Phoenix. A representative from the Arizona Attorney General's office will discuss the top 10 fraudulent activities against the community. The presentation will last approximately one hour, and SCAN will offer free paper shredding until 4:30 p.m.

"The purpose of this event is to help seniors prevent fraud artists before they strike," said Tom Lescault, president of SCAN Health Plan of Arizona. "We want to help people avoid becoming victims. This event is very consistent with the SCAN not-for-profit mission of supporting independent aging."

For more than 30 years, SCAN Health Plan has been focusing on the unique needs of people with Medicare and today is the fourth-largest nonprofit Medicare Advantage Plan in the United States.
