Sellers Dorsey Managing Director Gary Jessee to Provide Perspective on Long-Term Services and Supports at Inaugural LG Access Summit
Date:8/14/2017

Sellers Dorsey announced today that Managing Director Gary Jessee will present at the LG Access Summit on August 15th in Dallas, TX. The LG Access Summit will bring together leaders from the Long-Term and PostAcute Care (LTPAC) provider community from across the country to discuss technology, operational best practices, and current trends impacting the industry. As the recent former Deputy Executive Commissioner for Medical and Social Services at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and former Medicaid Director for the state, Mr. Jessee will provide his perspective on what the growing national shift to managed long-term services and supports (LTSS) in Medicaid means for the LTPAC industry and his experiences overseeing the Medicaid managed LTSS system in Texas.

During his remarks, Mr. Jessee will focus on positioning LTPAC providers for success in the evolving managed LTSS environment, including preparing for the transition to value-based purchasing and alternative payment models. His remarks will include a discussion on the current opportunities within managed LTSS and how Medicaid programs have evolved in this area over the last several years.

Gary Jessee is a nationally recognized Medicaid and long-term care expert with over 20 years of public service experience. He is Managing Director at Sellers Dorsey, a national Medicaid policy and financing consultancy, where he works with the Federal government, states, stakeholders, and private sector clients on Medicaid transformation and reform. Until July 2017, he served as Deputy Executive Commissioner for Medical and Social Services at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and was responsible for overseeing a vast division comprised of client services, including eligibility services and Medicaid/CHIP services and functions, and community programs. Mr. Jessee also previously served as the Texas Medicaid Director and led a team overseeing acute, dental and LTSS delivered across the state through managed care.
