Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

esident and claim group general counsel for St. Paul Travelers. She is a graduate of C.W. Post College, Long Island University and the National Law Center, George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Ms. Porter is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), ARIAS (AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society) and a former member of the District of Columbia Defense Lawyers Association (President - 1991).

Eduard J. Pulkstenis (Lafayette, NJ), to executive vice president and chief underwriting officer. Mr. Pulkstenis joined Selective's Actuarial Department in 1988 and in 2000 became vice president and manager of the company's Actuarial Pricing unit. He assumed leadership for the Commercial Lines Small Business unit in 2003, and in 2004 was promoted to senior vice president and chief commercial lines underwriting officer. Mr. Pulkstenis was previously a managing actuary at AIG. Mr. Pulkstenis is a graduate of Messiah College. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Selective Insurance Group, Inc. is a holding company for seven property and casualty insurance companies rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best. Through independent agents, the insurance companies offer primary and alternative market insurance for commercial and personal risks, and flood insurance underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program.
