Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

s Auditor (CFSA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Associate in Insurance Accounting & Finance (AIAF).

Steven M. Passman (Basking Ridge, NJ) to vice president and assistant general counsel. Mr. Passman joined Selective in 1995 and most recently served as managing attorney for Selective's East Hanover Staff Counsel office. Prior to that, he was a staff counsel attorney at Chubb Insurance. Mr. Passman earned his B.A. in political science from Boston University in Boston, MA, and his J.D. from Rutgers-Camden School of Law in Camden, NJ.

John E. Wisinger (Warren, NJ) to vice president and assistant general counsel. Mr. Wisinger joined Selective in 2005 as corporate counsel. Prior to that, he was vice president and associate counsel for The Chubb Corporation. Mr. Wisinger earned his B.S. in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ and his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, NY. Mr. Wisinger is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Selective Insurance Group, Inc. is a holding company for seven property and casualty insurance companies rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best. Through independent agents, the insurance companies offer primary and alternative market insurance for commercial and personal risks, and flood insurance underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program.
