Security Compass Named to the 2019 List of Best Workplaces™ for Mental Wellness
Date:5/23/2019

Security Compass, a software security company that provides organizations with the knowledge, training, and technology to make software secure, is proud to announce that they have been named on the 2019 list of Best Workplaces™ for Mental Wellness. Security Compass received this honor after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®, which is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations surveyed.

To be eligible for this list, organizations must have been Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year and at least 80% of employees must agree that their workplace is psychologically and emotionally healthy. The best companies were determined based on the overall Mental Wellness Index score from employees as well as the range and quality of programs which encourage mental wellness.

The industry-wide skills shortage puts pressure on security professionals who can often suffer job fatigue due to long hours, high stress, and ever-expanding workloads as threats become more complex and as advanced attackers are increasingly capable of breaching basic defenses. To eliminate these common stress factors that contribute negatively to a person's mental well-being, Security Compass ensures that employees are given the flexibility to design their own schedules and working hours so that they can healthily balance their personal lives with their work lives.

"Security Compass recognizes the nontechnical issues and challenges faced by professionals in the security industry," said Nish Bhalla of Security Compass. "We encourage everyone in our company to nurture their minds as well as their careers.”

In addition to being named on the 2019 list of Best Workplaces™ for Mental Wellness, Security Compass has also been recognized by Great Place to Work® for their outstanding commitment to the advancement of women, being named to the 2019 List of Best Workplaces for Women and the 2019 List of Best Workplaces for Inclusion, and ranked 14 on the overall Best Workplaces in Canada list.
