Date:4/23/2009

ATLANTA, April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- SecureWorks(R), one of the market's leading Security as a Service providers, was recognized this week with the 2009 Reader Trust Award for "Best Managed Security Service" for the fourth year in a row. The announcement was made at the exclusive, SC Magazine Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the annual RSA Conference. This year, SecureWorks' Managed Security Services competed against those from MessageLabs (now part of Symantec), MX Logic, Symantec Corporation and Websense to win the "Best Managed Security Service" award. SC Magazine readers representing IT's most knowledgeable security professionals selected SecureWorks' Managed Security Services from among the industries' finest solutions.

"We are humbled by SC Magazine's recognition as the 2009 Reader Trust Award recipient for 'Best Managed Security Service'," said Mike Cote, chairman and CEO of SecureWorks. "Our goal at SecureWorks is to operate with integrity, service excellence, reliability, open honest communication and innovation. That's the standard that SC Magazine readers have recognized year after year."

The SC Magazine Awards highlight and showcase the best solutions, services and professionals while recognizing achievement and technical excellence in the information security industry. With almost 700 entries submitted in 30 categories, the 2009 SC Awards was the most competitive yet in the program's 12-year history. Winners in the SC Magazine Awards Readers' Trust program are based on voting by the publication's readers.

"Even with the increased competition in 2009, SecureWorks' security services have been selected by our readers as the 'Best Managed Security Service'," said SC Magazine Editor Illena Armstrong. "This award truly recognizes the leadership and success of SecureWorks in the field of IT security."
